Dione Verulam grew up in Sussex and studied History and Archaeology at Exeter University. Early in her career, she teamed up with her mother under the name Verona Stencilling, working with private clients, interior designers, hotels, restaurants, and even some churches. Later, Dione founded the Gorhambury Group and spent 15 years honing her painting skills with various art mentors. She now lives at Gorhambury in St Albans and occasionally takes classes at the University of Hertfordshire.

These days, Dione’s creative focus is on collage. She loves the freedom of tearing, cutting, and layering different colored shapes. Her work draws inspiration from family life, her travels, and people she encounters. Over the years, she’s also designed carpets, steel cutouts, painted and stenciled screens, stenciled fabrics, and even a weathervane.

Dione’s pieces can be found in collections across the UK, Australia, America, Switzerland, and Spain.
